The best by far. This is my second one. I wanted a back up in case there is ever a problem. It has everything necessary for business including wi-fi.I love this thing.
When I bought it five years ago (or something like that), I thought it was the best PDA then. With SD and CF, it has all the possibilities available. now, I can say it again. It has one of the best screens I've ever seen, with VGA resolution. It has bluetooth and Wi-fi. My only complain here is that from time to time, the Bluetooth refuses to turn on due to a "low memory" warning, that you can get rid of it by sof-reseting the device (or nor overhelming the main memory with too many small applications). And the magnesium case is great. at least someone took a breath and actually tought, and found out that puting a plastic case on a PDA worth $600, intended for professional use, wasn't such a great idea (most of the new ones, worth that still have plastic cases).I have nothing but good words for it.
This unit is great. and yes holds and plays video and music with mob. TON of memory and takes CF and SD cards.
Hope they keep making it or a better updated version as time goes on. Holds a TON of pictures and maps for pocketstreets, which I use often. Have had it for over a year now and it is flawless in operation.
I have 1 gig ultrs in it now. Upgraded to Windows Mob. 5 and it work fine as well.
I put a GPS card in it and and I have Navigation ability with Pocket-Streets. MSplayer 10
Syncing is very quick over USB 2.0.c. This PDA is a great digital media player.f. Be sure to use Active Sync v 4.2. I found that Windows Mobile 5.0 makes wireless internet access easier and faster.b. This is my fourth Windows PDA, first 3 were from Compaq.Let me add some beneficial features which have not been mentioned:a. Buy Microsoft Streets & trips and get this for free. Windows mobile 5.0 includes a media player which sounds better than the previous one. Running Excel natively is a huge feature for me.e.
The beautiful screen is very useful for this.g. I build apps for it using Visual Studio 2003 & 2005.d. It is one of two Hp iPaqs which will run Windows mobile 5.0. I read PDF manuals using a pcoket Acrobat reader. This device runs.Net compact framework 2.0. I use the onboard excel app constantly and move spreadsheets between it and my PC. Pocket Streets & downloadable maps. Map display is more vivid and colorful with this release.Summary:This device has enormous potential which it should, given its high price.
Shame, it was a great PDA. I've had one for 9 months and it's a great PDA, albeit a bit power hungry for the battery shipped. Love the screen. But it's fragile, and when mine broke HP claimed I'd opened the case voiding the warranty (i hadn't.)., and wanted 270 bucks.I don't know anyone who still has one. I've heard they're discontinued now. But you can't spend this kind of money for something that won't even make it a year.
